How special to be married on such a unique date 2-22-22. Also, on this day it reached temps of 50 degrees with intermittent showers! I have heard that rain on your wedding day is good luck but never knew why. Hair and makeup artist Josey explained it this way, "A know that becomes wet is extremely difficult to untie." So, if you think about that, when you "Tie the Knot" on a rainy day it may signify that your marriage will be just as difficult to unravel.
I arrived at The Meeting House in Rochester, MI before the wedding party arrived. I walked through the curtains and was blown away by the decor that Expressive Trendz Events presented. It felt like I was Dorothy in the Wizard of Oz going from B&W to a world full of color!
It was an intimate ceremony. The Bride was serenaded by the groom as she walked down the aisle. The couple stood with their daughters in front of their most treasured friends and family and pledged their love to each other. We left the ceremony to walk around and take photos! The Capelli Salon was gracious enough to let us take photos in their front entrance that has a beautiful vintage couch. We finished photos just as rain started coming down!
We made our way back to The Meeting House where h'orderves were and coctails were being served. After mingling with guest dinner was served followed by the cake cutting which was provided by Savory Trendz.
I felt so honored to be one of the few to witness this monumental commitment.
