Hey Baby!
Today is a monumental day. Leo you are turning 8. We have had quite the week long celebration starting with dinner with the entire Howard Family at the White Horse Inn and now ending with a Mickey Mouse Birthday Bash in your honor. You lucky dog not only started intersession but had an additional two days off on top of that because of the weather! How many kids can say they have 11 days off from school for their Birthday?! Only you Buddy.
Leo, I watch you and can not fathom a life without your quick wit and smile. I look at those marker covered fingers and smile because you have such a passion for art. I love that EVERY night we have to get you freshly charged batteries to ensure that your flashlight is well lit so you can read for another 30 minutes under your covers. I sit here and thank God that out of all the Mama's and Daddy's you chose us!
I see you discovering independence and testing those limits. You're becoming your own person and developing your own thoughts and beliefs and that makes me so proud. You have a voice my Son and I hop you know that it NEEDS to be heard. That's the thing ... you have to be able to go out there and test the limits of life sometimes Leo. You have to take a leap and dive head first into your dreams. Only you can write the story of the life you want to live.
